Join The Paddington Family of Stores in celebrating the woman who started it all! Our very first Paddington Bear, Judy Patterson, is turning 80!
On March 22 and 23, 2019, from Noon to 2pm, we will be celebrating with Paddington Bear themed crafts and his favorite special treats- marmalade and tea.
In 1973, Judy Patterson opened the original Paddington Station. It was not located within the J.P. Dodge building, but rather down the street at 268 East Main Street (currently The Music Coop). The store expanded rapidly and, in 1975, Paddington Station moved to its current location.
These dates hold a special place in our hearts- not only because of Judy’s Birthday, but it is also the Hammond Family’s Paddington Anniversary!
On March 22nd, 26 years ago, Pam drove from California to Ashland. The next day, March 23rd, Pam and Don (with 5 year old Kelly!) signed the papers for the store and rest is history!
